The Italian expression is : Stare con le Mani in Mano
English translation: To stay with idle hands
What does it mean? Literally means to stand with hands in hand as well.
What could I do this way? There’s nothing I can do, nothing !
The meaning is to stay with idle hands that is just doing nothing
A person stands with idle hand when he does nothing , he doesn’t move.
Let’s do some examples:
My colleague in the office is very lazy, do not want to work in fact is always stays with idle hands
I am a person always ready to do something because I do not like to be with idle hands
Here is the meaning of being with idle hands: to do nothing

Stare con le Mani in Mano
Cosa significa? Letteralmente significa stare con le mani in mano così.
Cosa potrei fare n questo modo? Niente, non posso fare assolutamente niente!
E il significato figurato è proprio questo è Stare senza far nulla, stare Fermi, essere molto pigri.
Una persona sta con le mani in mano quando non si da da fare, non fa nulla, non combina niente.
Facciamo degli esempi:
Il mio collega in ufficio è molto pigro, non vuole mai lavorare infatti sta sempre con le mani in mano
Sono una persona sempre in movimento perché non mi piace stare con le mani in mano
Ecco quindi il significato di stare con le mani in mano: non fare nulla
