The Italian expression is : Fare Scena Muta
In English can be translated with: To dry up.
It means to be silent when someone asks you some questions. Generally this term is used in schools, for example, during a university exam.
When the student is not able to answer a question and remains silent (sometimes even pretending to mentally retrace the topic)
But you can hear this expression in other occasions, for example when people when are accused of somethingand they do not know how to reply to a mean question and they dry up
Example:
I failed at the exam because I dried up!
I asked him why he put like on that blonde on facebook and he dried up

In inglese può essere tradotto con: To dry up.
Significa restare in silenzio, stare zitti di fronte a delle domande che ci vengono poste.
In genere questa espressione viene usata in ambito scolastico, ad esempio durante un esame all’università, oppure un’interrogazione .
Quando lo studente non è in grado di rispondere a una domanda, resta in silenzio (a volte fingendo anche di ripercorrere mentalmente l’argomento)
Ma potrete sentire questa espressione anche in altre occasioni, ad esempio quando si parla di persone che quando vengono accusate di qualcosa non sanno controbattere e restano in silenzio
Esempio:
Sono stato bocciato all’esame perché ho fatto scena muta!
Gli ho chiesto perché ha messo like a quella bionda su fb e lui ha fatto scena muta!
